NEW ZEALAND, March 5, 2010: To celebrate the 2010 Race Relations Day and bring families and communities together, the Hindu Youth Foundation of New Zealand is organizing a Family Fun Day on Sunday 21st of March at the Hindu Heritage Centre. Race Relations Day is a major event in the Human Rights Commission’s calendar and is marked in a number of different ways around the country. It is a step closer to bridging the gap between the different races that make up the multi-cultural New Zealand.
“This free event has a range of activities organized from soccer, cricket, netball, volleyball, table tennis, carom board to face painting, bouncing castle and tug-of-war, planned for families to participate and enjoy” said Darsha Patel, one of the coordinators of this event.
Hindu Youth Foundation is a division of the Hindu Council of New Zealand and since its inception in January 2008.
