Tapu Javeri's 'Preparing Krishna.'
MEDIA GALLERY
Faces and places
In a new exhibition at the Mohatta Palace Museum in Karachi, photography as an art form comes of age as 16 Pakistani photographers display works of their selection. The show serves as an effective journey through Pakistan's landscape, culture, and society, with images from Karachi to Kohistan, portraits from the wrong side of the bridge and of those from minority communities who are otherwise marginalised. While some images - of forts and shrines, fields and females - are expected, others are guaranteed to startle. (Photography: Fahim Siddiqi/ White Star)
