LAHORE: Amir Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam Fazl-ur-Rehman Monday said that conspiracies are being hatched for turning Pakistan into a secular state and resolved that JUI will put up a strong fight inside and outside the Parliament against such schemes.
Addressing a Lahore division’s workers convention here at Darul Uloom Usmania Rasool Park, Achra, he said lawlessness is spread in the country with the aim of making Pakistan a failed state and gaining access to its nuclear programme.
“The so-called war against terror has plunged the entire world into a hell-like darkness,” he observed, urging Pakistan to distance itself from the international alliance for this war.
He said the policies of Pervez Musharraf have placed Pakistan on a volcano of explosives.
