No Marriage Certificates for Hindus in Pakistan

Karachi, Sindh Minister for Population Welfare Syed Ali Mardan Shah, Minister for Revenue Jam Mehtab Hussain Dahar and Minister for Irrigation and Power Syed Murad Ali Shah have said issuance of marriage certificate to Hindu community people is a legal demand and the government should consider and provide it to them.

Taking notice of the protest demonstration held in front of Hyderabad Press Club by the members of Scheduled Cast Rights Movement (SCRM) yesterday, the provincial ministers stated that being legal citizens of the country, as the marriage certificates are being issued to Christian and Muslim communities, so there should not be any objection in registration of Hindu couple marriage and subsequent issuance of marriage certificate if required. Ministers hoped that the department concerned would consider the demand of the minority community people and would take prompt step in this regard.
